Ghost Lake Reservoir
Ghost Reservoir is a beautiful lake located just 35 minutes from Calgary on Highway 1A not far from Cochrane. Ghost Lake is a great spot for wind surfing, sailing and ice racing due to the almost constant wind that whips down the valley. Fishing is also available. The lake is loaded with rainbow trout, brown trout, lake trout, whitefish, and burbot.
Glen Eagles Golf Course
The Links of GlenEagles is a magnificent 18-hole golf course in Cochrane with fantastic views of the Rockies from every fairway. As you climb your way up through the Foothills, you’ll also see vast vistas of the Bow River Valley below your feet. GlenEagles is a public daily fee course that welcomes new players and those organizing tournaments. The course was voted the best new course in Canada in 1999 by Golf Digest.
