In the fall of 1883, work gangs of the Canadian Pacific Railway quickly pushed the rail line westward through the valley of the Bow River, establishing among others, a small work camp, "Siding 29".
In time, Siding 29 unfolded to the town of "Banff", in Canada's first National Park.
