Red Deer is located almost midway between Calgary and Edmonton within the Calgary-Edmonton Corridor. It is Alberta's third largest city by population after Calgary and Edmonton. The city was named for the Red Deer River which runs through town. Red Deer County is unsurpassed in its recreational amenities. Collicutt Centre
The Collicutt Centre is the City of Red Deer's newest state-of-the-art leisure and wellness centre. The Collicutt Centre offers a number facilities for recreation. With 250,000 square feet of fun, a single visit fee gives you access to ENMAX Water Park with a wave pool, water slide, lazy river and interactive water playground and tots pool, hot tubs and steam room , a 290-metre four-lane fitness track, a Fitness and Wellness Studio featuring state-of the art fitness equipment and free weights and much more. Discovery Canyon
Discovery Canyon Park is a fun seasonal water park located next to the River Bend Golf and Recreation Area. It features a natural river-fed water pool, playground area, concession and washrooms. During the summer season, Discovery Canyon operates from Monday to Sunday from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Admission is free. Visitors can rent tubes. Call 403 343-8311 for more information.

Great Chief Park
For some vacation recreation, stop by Great Chief Park. The park offers fenced shale fast ball and baseball diamonds and a combination soccer/football field. Dressing rooms, washrooms and concessions are nearby and it is directly adjacent to the Kiwanis Picnic Park and playground. There is also a nine-hole pitch and putt golf course and horseshoe pits nearby. Great Chief Park is open from May to October.

Riverbend Golf Course
